Mr. Ricardo Álvarez

CEO DIA Spain

Ricardo Álvarez read an agricultural engineering with a specialization in Food Processing Industry at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and obtained a Master in Business Administration from the Instituto de Empresa. Álvarez's professional career has always been linked to the retail sector. He joined the Tesco sale team in Bray (Ireland) and from there he made the leap to the food retail sector in Spain covering various positions in Lidl. While at Lidl he led important expansion, sales and team building projects. From 2013 to 2018, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer in Spain and during recent years for US market.

Mr. Pedro Barsanti

DIA Group IT Director

Degree in Mathematics from the Complutense University of Madrid and Executive Development Programme from IESE. He developed his professional career for more than 25 years as a consultant at Accenture, working for the commercial distribution sector in different Spanish and European retailers, leading transformation and digitalization projects. In 2001, he was appointed partner of the company and responsible for the retail sector in 2010. Since January 2019, he is part of the DIA team as Chief Informaction Officer.

Mrs. Sagrario Fernández 

DIA Group Legal and Compliance Director

With a Law degree from Universidad Complutense in Madrid and master in digital business by ISDI Madrid, Sagrario Fernández has been lawyer for more than 20 years. She began her career at Garrigues Abogados, Madrid office, later joining Indra as manager of the Company's corporate legal department. In 2001, she was appointed as Legal and HR Department Director of the telecommunications company Iberbanda, as well as secretary of the Board until 2005. For a decade, she was general counsel and secretary of the Board at Prosegur Compañía de Seguridad, later she held the charge of General Counsel of Codere and since 2019, she held the position of Legal and Compliance Director at DIA Group and Vice-secretary of the board of directors

Mr. Alejandro Grande

DIA Group Chief Human Resources Officer and CEO DIA Argentina

Graduated in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid and State Attorney. Santiago Martínez-Lage began his professional career as a State Attorney in 2006 where he held various positions in the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Ministry of Health. In 2012, he left the public administration to enter the private sector as deputy director of legal advice for Iberia from where he made the leap to the retail sector as Deputy Secretary of the Board of Directors of Inditex. For several years, he has been a member of the Steering Committee of the non-profit Association Bangladesh Accord.

Mr. Miguel Guinea

CEO DIA Portugal

He has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from the University of Suffolk (Boston USA) and PDG from IESE. Miguel Guinea has more than 25 years of experience in the food retail sector where he started at DIA Spain as development engineer of private label and then joined the Group's purchasing center for its private label in France for 4 years, as Food Director. In 2001, he was appointed Commercial Director for DIA China where he spent 6 years. Subsequently, he held other positions as Director of Franchises in Spain, Commercial Director in France and Director of Operations in Spain. Until 2017, when he was appointed CEO of DIA Portugal.

Mr. Marcelo Maia

CEO DIA Brasil

Marcelo Maia is a Civil Engineer and Master of Business Administration from London Business School. Specialist in trade and services, with C-level experience in retail companies and in management of large companies, including mergers and acquisitions, internationalization processes and start-up of companies. Maia founded and ran one of the main retail companies in Northeast Brazi,l Lonjas Maia until it was bought by Magazine Luiza where he held the position of regional director. Subsequently, he was appointed Secretary of State for Trade and Services of the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services and a member of the BNDESPar Board.

Mr. Santiago Martínez-Lage

DIA Group Corporate Director

Mr. Enrique Weickert

DIA Group Chief Financial Officer

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the Universidad de Sevilla (including an academic year at University College Dublin with an Erasmus grant). He is a member of the Registro Oficial de Auditores de Cuentas (ROAC – Official Registry of Accounts Auditors) of the Ministry of the Treasury. Enrique Weickert began his career in 1996 at Arthur Andersen, and in September 2005 he joined Fertiberia as Financial Director. In January 2010 he was appointed Financial Director of the OHL Group, where he remained almost until he joined DIA as Financial Directors in December 2018.
